Good morning honourable members of AIFL season 5.
Please may we hearken to the following announcements from the AIFL Secretariat for season 5.
1. Covid is real. May we observe all the covid 19 protocols very strictly. Wear your facemasks, maintain social distancing, wash hands regularly, isolate when in suspicion. Remember too that Anambra state has imposed a curfew as from Monday between 9pm to 6am. All AIFL teams should hearken to these directives.
2. AIFL season 4 champions DOSAD football Academy/club has been invited to join the Nigeria Nationwide League NLO pre season tournament between February 8th to 14th at NEROS stadium Nanka. We consider this an honour.
Sequel to this the AIFL week 6 match between DOSAD and Mekon FC will hold at a later date to be fixed by the match coordinator. Meanwhile all AIFL week six matches will still hold at Bubendorf Sports complex Adazi Nnukwu Friday Feb 12,2021, while week 7 and 8 matches will hold at CKC field Onitsha on Feb 19 and 26, 2021 respectively.
The week 6 fixtures will come immediately after these announcements.
3. The AIFL congratulates GP World FA of Nnewi, Rangels FA of Achina and her former Ifechikwulu FC of Omor for making it to the Anambra Super 8 football tournament. We still expect news on whether Mekon or DOSAD made the best losers. Meanwhile AIFL thanks Mekon FC of Umunze, DOSAD of Enugwu Ukwu, Ozalla FA of Onitsha and Ogene FC of Obeledu for good performances in the play offs.
4. The AIFL in season transfer window ended January 31,2021 at midnight. Teams have submitted their newly registered players for licences. AIFL games resume with licences starting with week 6 matches on February 12,2021.

Along same line, AIFL thanks the brain behind Aspire FC and Rise clinic Dr Emeka Okeke for these landmark Sports events in Anambra that are complimenting the efforts of Anambra Independent Football league AIFL. At a personal level, AIFL thanks Dr Emeka for being part of AIFL in previous season via Aspire FC and coming to the financial and moral aid of some AIFL teams this season.
7. AIFL also appreciates Chief Philip Udala, the host of NLO preseason tournament for giving a space to AIFL team in the tournament.
8. The AIFL is happy with a good number of Nigerian NPFL, NNL and NLO teams that have signed players from AIFL this season. Kudos also to the players that have secured football contracts abroad from the AIFL this football season.
